Project Based Learning
What is the real cost in terms of human labor of a loaf of bread in Ancient Egypt?
Students researched the agricultural practices, wheat processing and baking in Ancient Egypt, and calculated the time and effort needed to create a loaf of bread from the planting of the seeds to the eating. They then created stations the class could cycle through for a kinetic learning experience.

Key Club
Key Club Ramadan boxes and Christmas food drive
Ours was the first Key Club in all of Africa! Students planned, advertised and excecuted two large social justice events to ensure that the workers at our school and Christian orphans had healthy and happy holidays! I loved everything about this, especially how concerned the kids were with not favoring one religion over another. Outstanding young individuals I was priveledged to work with!

Field Trips
Field Trips
If it is taking the students to Istanbul and Paris or involving them with an acheological dig in our town, I truly enjoy planning off campus hands on experiences that align with the curriculum students are studying in class.
